Masafumi Onishi
Still in his 30s Masafumi has established himself as the elder statesman in the KOBE music scene. As head of Troopcafe, he is mostly responsible for inviting and showcasing the best underground music Kobe has experienced in the last decade. His talent behind the decks and knack for curating some of the best Afro Groove, House and Disco, makes for a unique and creative sound experience.

近年エレクトロニック・ミュージックの枠に止まらず、アフロ・グルーヴやハウス、ディスコとのクロスオーバーが加速し、さらにグルーヴ感が増している。
2014年からは、クラブの枠を超え、海外のアート・フェスティバルにも参加するようになる。
オランダ発の国際アート展 “TodaysArt”には、2014年、神戸と開催地デン・ハーグを高速インターネット回線で繋ぎ、地元神戸に居ながら、
オランダ現地のフロアを沸かせたことは、今なお、TodaysArtの歴史の中で語り草になっている。
2015年のTodaysArt.JP東京開催では、恵比寿リキッドルームにて、Carl Craig feat. Mad Mike Banksライブ・セットとの共演が話題となった。
国内外の著名アーティストからの評価は、楽曲制作においても高く、有名アーティストからのリミックスの依頼も少なくない。
今後はDJとしての活動だけでなく、楽曲プロデューサーとしての活動が期待され、一貫してシーンに多様性を追求している。
